About BOINK
Recent social media tools like facebook and myspace have reduced the effort, and – let’s be honest – THOUGHT required to represent yourself on the public domain, while blogs have provided the diametric vector, resulting in a darwinist catalogue of those that have something to say worthy of the public’s consumption versus those that painfully do not.
So until recently I’ve been more of a listener than a speaker, absorbing information and focusing on $life and $work. The tight-knit group with which I have taken to engaging in riveting dialogue is now distributed across the planet, and as my network grows so too I recognise the value of the interaction with peers, SME’s, and general opinion-havers in that global network after the 3rd-level connection.
I crave having this dialogue with YOU. Let this site be our chatroom, hosted by me.
While I recognise the importance of brand in this forum, I’ve not yet developed a clear idea of what that identity is. I fortunately have the advantage of relative obscurity on my side while I try to figure that out.
From a content perspective, the brand is clear – the evolution of information technology. I may cover developments in the business domain, technology and protocol advancements within the cloud, the mundane and pervasive Consumer Electronics, and of course ideas, vision, and “my opinion”. I will not turn this into a “here’s what I did today” running diary – and I encourage you to remind me of that if I ever stray.
